The Qstarz BT-Q818XT GPS Receiver is a high speed racing equipment loaded with an incredible 10 Hz feature. This Qstarz sports receiver has a 66 channel performance which enables fast acquisition and reacquisition. This Qstarz GPS receiver has a 10Hz update rate, enabling its GPS technology to update satellite data every 0.1 second. The Qstarz BT-Q818XT GPS Receiver has a G- mouse and a Bluetooth in one, wired and a wireless receiver. On low power consumption, the battery of this Qstarz sports receiver lasts for 42 hours of navigation time. This Qstarz GPS receiver has a fast position fix feature which fixes cold start in 35 seconds, warm start in 33 seconds. You can activate the personal navigation feature and synchronize the Qstarz BT-Q818XT GPS Receiver with your smart phone or PDA.

Funzionale ma non troppo preciso
Ho comprato questo ricevitore gps per utilizzarlo con Racechrono nella rilevazione di tempi e traiettorie in pista. Rispetto al gps integrato presente nei telefonini il miglioramento è notevole, si possono leggere tempi molto più accurati e traiettorie più fluide grazie ai 10hz, ma ancora non affidabili come speravo dato che un conto è la frequenza di aggiornamento, un conto è l'accuratezza. Inoltre per un accessorio dalla connotazione racing mi sarei aspettato qualche predisposizione per fissarlo sulla moto/auto/kart invece non c'è nulla di utile a questo fine, anzi, la base che fa anche da coperchietto della batteria è agganciata in modo piuttosto approssimativo all'apparecchio, per cui l'utilizzo di velcro/adesivo non è sufficiente.
