Offering a selection of three unique sounds, the Boss OC-2 Octave guitar effect pedal allows for tones below the original, at the original, and an octave above the original. This allows a player to use the guitar effect pedal and reach sounds normally unavailable with one guitar. The Boss guitar effect pedal allows for separate volume control for each of the octaves. Other features of the Boss guitar effect pedal include a specific pitch control for natural sounds, as well as staccato sounds, without losing pitch. The Boss OC-2 Octave guitar effect pedal includes a power source from either a 9V battery or an AC adapter.
