Product Information
To lift your instrument's sound from simple to intricate, use the Boss PS-3 and take your melodic riffs and rhythms to the next level. This Boss pedal transforms a single chord into musical harmony, eliminates distortion, and adds digital notes to your signal. The primary purpose of this Boss pitch shifter stompbox is to preserve the clarity and tone of the guitar. This line of pitch-delay pedals lets a single footswitch take your guitar playing and music to a new dimension. The small but sturdy construction is durable enough to last for show after show on the road or in the studio. The Boss PS-3 digital shifter/delay pedal has four knobs to give you maximum control over your tone. The balance knob affects the ratio of your dry to wet signal, allowing you to blend and mix the effects to your liking. Next, there are two control knobs that change different parameters depending on your selected mode. You can change between 11 different modes by using the appropriate knob. There are three different delays with ranges from 32-125 milliseconds, 125-500 milliseconds, and 500-2,000 milliseconds. There are four single-pitch and three dual-pitch shifting modes, including detune and octave. With these you can change the pitch slightly or shift it up or down two octaves either quickly, slowly, or inversely. Lastly, you can plug an expression pedal into the device for manual foot control. The two control posts have different settings for each mode. For delay, they control feedback level and delay time; for single-pitch modes, they control feedback level and pitch; for dual-pitch modes, they control Pitch A and B.This versatile piece of gear has a regular quarter-inch input that works with most instruments, including bass and keys. It also has an expression input so you can use whammy guitar effects easily. There are also two outputs. Using A alone with one amp will give you a mono signal, while using both A and B outputs with two amplifiers lets you use the dual-pitch modes to create a stereo effect. You can power the unit with a single 9V battery or a PSA-series AC adapter. The check light will come on when the unit is active, although it may dim if the battery is low. To change it out, loosen the thumbscrew to open the housing and swap the old battery with a new one. This pedal uses A/D conversion to produce its iconic delay and pitch-shifting sound. An adaptive focus method is used to significantly reduce excess noise caused by the digitization process. It has a sampling frequency of 32kHz, nominal input and output levels of -20dBm, an input impedance of 20 mega-ohms, and an output impedance of 1 kilo-ohm. The unit has dimensions of 70 by 125 by 55 millimeters and a weight of 420 grams. This digital pedal can be used for pitch shifting and delay, and it can even give your instrument a quick detuned audio effect. Furthermore, the device works with other Roland accessories, including the FV-300L, PCS-33, and EV-5 expression pedals. Depending on your settings, you can use this device for many different kinds of musical genres and styles of play.Product Identifiers
