The ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe grants a lot flexibility for gaming build outs. As part of the AI Lifestyle series, the M2N-SLI combines quick-and-easy setup with high-performance system features usually found on complex, enthusiast-level boards. AI Lifestyle features allow you to run high-resource programs, without drawing excessive amounts of power or generating a lot of system noise and heat. With support for multiple NVIDIA graphics cards and up to 8 GB of RAM, the ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe motherboard fills the transition between a high-powered gaming PC and an all-around multimedia computer. ASUS based the ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe motherboard on the NVIDIA nForce 570 SLI media and communications processors (MCP) chipset series. Designed to support as many as six Serial ATA (SATA), 3 gigabit-per-second (3GBit-s) hard disk drives (RAID 5), and NVIDIA SLI-ready graphics processing units (GPUs), the nForce 570-SLI makes a fitting foundation for both a high-powered gaming computer and multimedia machine. The Z68’s dual gigabit LAN controllers and 1 GHz HyperTransport link, help ensure lag-free online gaming and video streaming. ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe motherboards have an AMD socket AM2+-slash-AM2 socket compatible with Sempron, Phenom, Phenom FX, Athlon 64, Athlon 64 X2, Athlon 64 FX processors with 2MB, 1MB, or 512KB L2 caches, allowing for low- and high-power configurations. The board has a 2000-megatransfer-per-second HyperTransport 1.0 Bus and supports dual-channel un-buffered DDR2 1066 (AM2+) and DDR2 800 (AM2) memory. The M2N-SLI Deluxe motherboard belongs to ASUS’ AI Lifestyle Series, which combine quick-and-easy setups with the high-performance system usually found on complex, enthusiast-level boards. AI Lifestyle features allow you to run high-resource programs without drawing excessive amounts of power or generating a lot of system noise and heat. The M2N-SLI’s AI Gear technology lets you set system profiles for different application to save power. For example, when playing high-resource programs, such as visually intense games, or low-resource software, like Web browsers, you can adjust the CPU frequency and voltage to accommodate accordingly. The AI Nap feature lets you place your computer in snooze with the push of a button. Other features include ASUS Crystal Sound audio, which provides Array Mic technology, to prevent background noises, such as low-decibel conversations and air conditioners, from infiltrating the audio lines while recording or video-calling. It also has Fanless Design, which places heat-generating components, such as the graphics cards, towards the heat sinks for lower operating temperatures. The M2N-SLI’s AI Lifestyle overclocking features include non-delay overclocking, an intelligent CPU frequency tuner, ASUS PEG Link (automatically performance tuning) and Precision Tweaker. This provides 15-step DRAM voltage control and CPU-voltage adjustment in 0.0125V increments. The setup also allows PCI Express x16 Frequency tuning from 100MHz to 200MHz in 1 MHz increments, and front-side bus tuning from 200MHz up to 400MHz, in 1 MHz increments. Expansion slots include three PCI 2.22, two PCI Express (PCIe), and two PCIe x16 expansion slots with NVIDIA SLI support for dual graphics card operation. The board also supports 10 USB ports.
