Gamers can enlist the help of a new AI companion or once again join up to three friends for multiplayer beast battling in Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, the third title in Capcom's massively popular RPG series to hit North American PSPs. Essentially an updated expansion of Monster Hunter Freedom 2, Monster Hunter Freedom Unite offers players five new monsters to conquer, more than 1,400 weapons and 2,000 armor sets, and the all-new "Felyne Comrade" option, which gives gamers a way to collect extra resources in single-player mode. However, the core of the game remains Ad-Hoc multiplayer co-operative combat, in which players are encouraged to team up with more advanced hunters to gain experience and learn new fighting techniques. A new "Media Install" option lets users save the game on a memory stick for faster loading times, players can share their AI companions using the "Felyne Exchange" feature, and gamers can upload their stored Monster Hunter Freedom 2 data, a feature that Capcom claims will give Freedom Unite more than 500 hours of potential gameplay.
