The Asus M5A78L-M is an exciting option for enthusiasts who require a motherboard optimized for the AMD AM3+ platform. This board uses the AMD 760G chipset and the AMD AM3 socket. AM3+ indicates support for any AMD AM3 CPU such as the FX, Phenom II, and Athlon II. The system bus supports HyperTransport 3 and achieves throughput up to 5.2 GT/s.
