The box that was used to ship the hat was an old cracker box. It did not protect the hat and allowed it to be "smashed". I communicated with the seller and explained that I can fix the hat but it was damaged during shipping and was told "hats don't need to be repaired, they just need to be worn". I guess I agree with that but I wish I didn't have to fix it before wearing it...
