This one has thin glass, a thin plastic lid, the opening is much smaller than my previous one, which was easy to clean (could get your whole hand in) and less likely to chip/break as it had a metal ring around the top. I expect I may crack this one if I touch the tap with the kettle accidentally. So, overall fine but flimsy top and glass rim are of questionable durability.

The coloured lights are helpful in knowing temperature. Have had one of these kettles (originally from Lidl) for years - lasted well - could not find anything on the market which was as good! So pleased to have found a supplier.
